Request this consultationWho this is for
Candidates who have a German employment contract draft in hand and want a plain-language map of the clauses that matter before signing — probation, working time, overtime, non-compete language, IP assignment, notice periods, and side agreements.
What you leave with
- An annotated checklist of clauses to confirm or query
- A shortlist of written clarification questions for HR or the hiring manager
- Guidance on which topics typically warrant independent legal advice
- Notes on how the contract interacts with verbal promises from recruitment
Scope
Included: advance reading of the contract pages you provide, a 75-minute guided review session, and a written clause checklist afterward.
Not included: formal legal opinions, redlined mark-ups filed with the employer, or German-language certified translations. We prepare your questions; we do not replace a lawyer.
Process
You upload or email the draft at least three business days before the session when possible. During the call we walk section by section, pausing on language that commonly surprises candidates relocating into or within Germany. Afterward you receive the checklist by email.
Delivery
Video sessions nationwide; in-person appointments in Werne when arranged. German and English drafts are both welcome — session discussion is in English as requested for this site.
Pricing
From €240 for a single-contract preparation session. Side letters, works-council agreements, or multi-document packs may require an extended reading fee quoted after intake.
